4 Months

What's this?! I haven't posted since August and finally mid January a post! I'm all astonishment! Many things have happened since I've been away. My sisters Ashley, Katie and Sarah all had their babies. Christian and I climbed a tower called the Haagenschlong, attended the Knight family wine corking party for their 2010 vintage, dressed up as Gumby and Pokey for Halloween, deep fried another Turkey for Thanksgiving 2012, revisited an old Crapo tradition of watching Star Trek and making a bazillion pies for Thanksgiving, and ordered 20 lbs of bacon for Baconpocalypse 2013. There was also a fantastic Christmas in a California Beach House but we'll save that for the next post. An eventful 4 months! Where to begin!?

We shall begin in October!
Behold the Haagenschlong.

Here we are on top with me all smiles and Christian expressing his excitement over smiling for yet another picture.

Mid October we attended the Knight wine corking party. Christian's parents began making wine a few years ago and several of the jugs reached their optimal bottling stage. I don't know much about wine making but there was BBQ, lots of food, and plenty o family togetherness involved.

As soon as all the bottles were corked I was off to the annual Zombie race in SLC with some friends from work. We dressed up like Zombies and ran from other people also dressed like Zombies. It was a frightfully fun race!

After working nights for years I have finally switched to working days. I have mixed feelings on the subject and depending on the day you ask my answer varies. Mostly I am happy with the switch but it has been difficult adjusting to a new schedule. I find it odd to be suddenly tired at 9pm and instantly awake at 6am. The new schedule does give me more time to climb on the weekends and attend my pole fitness class after work during the week. Some of you have already seen this but in case some haven't I'm posting it. I was so proud of JC and I for getting this pose. It's called the Yin&Yang and we are only using our legs to hold on. Go us!!

Christian has always wanted to be Gumby for Halloween. So this year he was. I was Pokey. Next year we go back to sexy costumes for Julie.

Christian and I took advantage of the nice weather and climbed in Dry Creek.

I baked many treats.
An apple pie for my friend Banner.

Chocolate cheesecake cupcakes for friends at work.

The best chocolate ice cream in the world.

Christian and I went to the Ballet together.

My parents came to visit for Thanksgiving and Mom and I had breakfast and Crio Bru together.

Christian held baby Olivia and didn't break her.

When I was younger my Dad and I used to stay up late the night before Thanksgiving and bake a ton of pies while watching a Star Trek marathon. We decided to revisit the tradition this year and had a blast doing it.

There was singing...

and dough...

pie edges

and shenanigans...

Oh the shenanigans!!

Some people fell asleep too soon.

But Draddums and I persevered until all the pies were done!

Success!!

Thanksgiving morning we went over to Christian's parents for breakfast and card games.

Followed by a visit to my Grandma's House where we deep fried our turkey. Delicious!!

This brings us up to December where I ordered 20 lbs of bacon to prepare for Baconpocalypse 2013,

and we went to California where my Mom and I made this.

Plus we stayed in this beach house for Christmas. It was beyond delightful!
