Fall Colors

Fall is by far my favorite time of year. I love pumpkin pie and pumpkin cheesecake and pumpkin soup and pretty much anything with pumpkin in it. I also love the shift in weather from sweltering heat to cool breezes and the sudden need for a sweater.

This past Sunday we went for a drive on the alpine loop and stopped at Cascade Springs. Bret had never been there before which I find to be a travesty of the worst kind. I forgot the camera but luckily had my cell phone and was able to capture the beautiful fall colors in some blurry photos.

Christian and Bret enjoying the scenery...

I have no idea what they're doing here...?

Again... no idea?

Me posing by a particularly colorful group of trees.

Bret making a peek-a-boo appearance in my windy path photo.

We were fortunate enough to run into a rather large moose along the trail.

Cutsie Bootsie:)

And here is the random Lulu shot...
He's "baby"sitting our friends bird while they're away on a trip.

  1. Cute pictures. I like the one with Bret sticking his head in. And I'm sure that bird loves being babysat by Lulu. :)

  2. I can't believe Bret's never been to cascade springs. And I must admit, the megapixelage on your cell phone camera is rather impressive - those pictures were pretty good.

By the way, does Lucifur make house calls? We've got a cat roaming our neighborhood that needs to be taught a lesson. Lucifur can "babysit" him for us.

  4. I'm so glad you have pictures of Bret! I miss him so and he looks so cute in your pictures. I can't believe he's never been to Cascade Springs. I'm glad you took him there. It's such a pretty place.
I found the tricky Bret sticking his head in your picture, but the moose completely eludes me. Are you sure its not just an oddly shaped tree trunk?? Your hand in front of the lense?? Bret with weird hair??
I think its funny that Bret and Christian are in short sleeve T-shirts but you're bundled up in a hoodie.
And last but not least--I wouldn't let Lucifer baby-sit my bird....

  5. I'm glad you took Bret to Cascade Springs. That is such a cool place to go in the fall. I love it there.
Do you think Lucifer would want to babysit Rocky? They would both have a lot of fun. I don't think Rocky has any experience with cats.
