Fall Colors

Fall is by far my favorite time of year. I love pumpkin pie and pumpkin cheesecake and pumpkin soup and pretty much anything with pumpkin in it. I also love the shift in weather from sweltering heat to cool breezes and the sudden need for a sweater.

This past Sunday we went for a drive on the alpine loop and stopped at Cascade Springs. Bret had never been there before which I find to be a travesty of the worst kind. I forgot the camera but luckily had my cell phone and was able to capture the beautiful fall colors in some blurry photos.

Christian and Bret enjoying the scenery...

I have no idea what they're doing here...?

Again... no idea?

Me posing by a particularly colorful group of trees.

Bret making a peek-a-boo appearance in my windy path photo.

We were fortunate enough to run into a rather large moose along the trail.

Cutsie Bootsie:)

And here is the random Lulu shot...
He's "baby"sitting our friends bird while they're away on a trip.

Anniversary

Christian and I celebrated our anniversary this month! Two years ago we got married in the beautiful mountains of Utah in a quaint little place called Millcreek Canyon. It was Wonderful!

We love being married and have so much fun spending time together. We wish we didn't have to devote so much time to work and school but unfortunately that stuff is kind of important. It just makes arranging time to go on a vacation that much more exciting and rewarding. This year we've both been doing a lot of mountain biking and conveniently our anniversary falls on the same day as the Interbike demo in Las Vegas. Before the demo Christian and I did some training at a nearby skills park to perfect our technique.

We did some teeter totter action...

Christian graduated to the bigger teeter totter...

And then went off some jumps...

I was very impressed!

I went off a little Julie sized jump that was more like a bump but it was still a fun!

Now that we were prepared we were off to Interbike for more two wheeled shenanigans. You can see the Vegas skyline behind us in the distance.

Christian was psyched and ready to ride!

He did some jumps and rode across some pretty crazy terrain.

It was about 100 degrees and the sun was shining way too bright but we had a blast and got to demo some really cool new bikes. Afterwards we celebrated our successful biking skills by going to this amazing Southern BBQ place called Lucille's where we indulged in some amazing beef covered in something called mop sauce. It was delicious!!

While we were away Lucifur was happy as a clam to have the whole house to himself. I think he was actually a little upset when we came home. He's so weird!

I'm a Blogger!

Yup we've started a blog! Well actually I've started the blog but Christian will be making appearances regularly.

This is Christian making his I'm so glad we have a blog face!

And here be the cat Lucifur...

Yes that would be Christian's hand that he is biting. I tried to soften his evil image by presenting him in black and white but I'm not sure if it worked.
