It all began on Christmas Adam when we went to the beach to see the tide pools.
And ponder the waves.
We touched the sea anemones.
and ran from the waves.
We...
well OK...
I pretended to push Mom into the water.
Bret harnessed the power of the waves.
The babies enjoyed it.
Dad enjoyed it.
Pretty Sure Bret enjoyed it.
Neil enjoyed it.
Almost too much.
We all enjoyed it.
(Mom stop taunting the waves!)
On the way back we all got to jump the river.
Dad showed us how its done.
(notice Kate-shine and Rydar cheating around the back)
Good job Mckay!
(Do we all see how Mom is cheating too)
I did it!
(Sheri is almost about to cheat...)
Neil did it too!
(But then she decides to do it!)
YAY Sheri!
(Sheri was by far my favorite photo)
Watching the sunset we were all a bit cold and ready for Dad's famous Broccoli Cheddar soup.
Christmas Eve Day was filled with Castle Rock and Family festivities.
Castle Rock was a tad chilly but super pretty.
The Christmas party was a melee of happy hugging family members.
Little ones were almost too small to spot.
Uncle John tries to reign in the crowd.
This family Christmas caroling event was quite the production complete with musical handouts and props.
I love how Christmas-y this picture is.
Sadie and I danced and pranced around and around...
and around some more...
and smiled for the camera...
Great job on the piano Sheri!
Christmas Day... who has time to take photos?!
Not me... luckily Christian took a few.
The Day after Christmas we decided to go somewhere peaceful and quiet. Luckily San Jose has a Japanese Botanical Garden.
hmmm... a gate. To cross or not to cross.
Political incorrectness... we usually do this at the St. Louis Botanical Gardens but San Jose will have to do.
Monday we started off at the Children's Museum where my parents have a grandparents membership. It was very educational, we learned all about circles.
The boys...
Who says the Children's Museum is just for kids?!
Playing Outside.
Bret chasing me.
Guess who won?
Next up was a trip to see the giant Redwoods.
Banana Slugs.
I tried to get Sadie to kiss it but she vehemetly refused. I think I can understand why.
It was an awesome Christmas Vacation complete with tons of love from the family.
I love you guys!
Oh, I'm so glad I finally got to see the banana slug kissy picture. Christian takes such good pictures.
ReplyDeleteThose were really great photos Christian. Julie, thank you for sharing them. I'm glad you could come for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteChristian took a lot of great pictures. I'm glad you posted so many of them. I love the pictures from the beach! I love the one of Mckay throwing Dallin in the air and me jumping across the river. And Dallin looked so cute bundled up in his new coat. That was such a fun trip.
ReplyDeleteI can tell which pictures Christian took. Nice job. I love the one of Bret harnessing the power of the waves. That botanical garden looked cool too, I'm going to have to go back there sometime. That was such a fun Christmas. Thanks for documenting it so well.
ReplyDeleteAwesome pictures. Copies please???? I loved them all. Sheri jumping across the river was amazing. Dalberto with the fur hood around his face is super cute. Sadie kissing the banana slug is fun and a really cute picture of her little kissy lips. And Bret is very good at pondering the ocean. Very nice blog post!
ReplyDeleteThose are some really great pictures! We had a great time seeing you guys out here.
