The Almost Bad Day

Due to an unfortunate closing of the pool today Katie and I were home bound.

We were sad at first as we both had uber cute swimsuits to wear, but as luck would have it I rented an awesome movie. We made Steamers and watched Just Go With It.

The weather turned out to be kinda windy and overcast, the steamers however were warm and delicious. We'll do pool day again another day when the weather is slightly sunnier and the pool is actually open.

Climbing LCC

Christian and I went climbing in Little Cottonwood canyon this weekend. It was absolutely beautiful weather! Our friend Aaron came with us. These two were so psyched to be climbing granite cracks.

So psyched, and so goofy!

I probably should have worn more sunscreen...

Favorite Things

Do you know what this is?

It's the thing I made to celebrate the arrival of my new toy!

I love it!

In case you couldn't tell, I made a pie. Dad sent some lemons that taste like limes but look like lemons and smell like limes. I'm still not quite sure what they are but needless to say they are delicious in pie form. Christian calls them Limons. We still can't decide if its more like a lemon or more like a lime. Our amount of caring is decreased by the amount of pie in our mouths.

Little Lucas plants Cilantro

While Becky was here and us girlies were immersed in giggly conversations, Lucas got a little bored. To entertain the young boy I had him help me plant my Cilantro seeds. He got a little over zealous in adding the seeds and I might have only one large single clump of cilantro on the edge of the basket, but it was all in good fun.

First we added the dirt.

This is the part where Lucas poured the entire contents of the seed envelope into a pile halfway into the basket and halfway onto the patio. Then we tried to poke down the seeds and redistribute the lost seeds best we could.

Here we are smoothing the soil and patting it down.

Final touch pouring the water.

The envelope says they should sprout in 8 days!

Becky was Here

Becky came to visit me last week. Actually she came to visit Terri in the hospital and help Mom out but I like to pretend I was the reason. We did lots of fun things including eating many a delicious breakfasts and too many chocolate Reisens. We hoarded tons of food from Costco and ate a mere fraction of the bounty.

We had Katie and Lucas over for breakfasts which turned into nap times and lunches and before we knew it suddenly it was dinnertime. Becky made these fabulous BBQ chicken sandwiches that I'm starting to crave even now as I write this.

Becky also introduced me to Italian sodas which I am now addicted to. We called Sarah to meet us for a late night movie and saw Jane Eyre at the coolest theatre Pleasant Grove has to offer.

I wish I had taken the week off work so Becky and I could have played more.
I sure hope she visits again!
To ensure this happens I'm holding her Nalgene, swimsuit, and Disneyland sweatshirt for ransom.

I spy with my little eye...

Something strange has been happening lately.
I keep seeing pictures and images of myself all over town.

It all began while flipping through a disgarded coupon magazine.

Then while flipping through this months Climbing magazine.

Then on this T-shirt.

Christian got tagged too!

And finally this car driving all around Salt Lake City.

Perhaps I'm going crazy.

heeheehee... Christian got sleepy while I staged this shot.
